These cocktails will keep you toasty while you enjoy a quiet night in or a nightcap after an evening of socializing. Ritual Rum Hot Chocolate
Ingredients (serves two):
4 oz Ritual Rum Alternative
1.5 cups milk
¼ cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp caramel
½ tsp sea salt
Method: Add milk, chocolate, caramel and salt to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until chocolate is melted and all ingredients are well blended. Add hot chocolate to two mugs. Add 2 oz of rum alternative and stir. Top with whipped cream and more caramel.
Spiritless Kentucky 74 Coffee
1 ½ oz. Spiritless Kentucky 74
½ oz. Demerara Syrup (1:1 Demerara sugar to water)
4 oz. Brewed Coffee
Heavy Cream*, lightly whipped
Warm an Irish Coffee glass or mug by filling with hot water. Let stand for a few minutes and discard water. Add Kentucky 74, coffee, and Demerara syrup. Lightly whip heavy whipping cream and pour on coffee until it forms a one-inch layer. Garnish with fresh nutmeg.
The Cozy Season Sour
2 ½ oz The Spirit of Bourbon
2 tbsp Persimmon Purée (peel 1 super ripe Persimmon and mash up with a muddler)
½ oz Warm Spice Syrup*
½ oz Lemon juice
Cara Cara orange slice
Method: Add all ingredients to an iced cocktail shaker and shake briefly. Pour out the cocktail into a rocks glass. Garnish with a Cara Cara orange slice and mint
*FOR WARM SPICE SYRUP
In a saucepan add 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water and 1 tbsp pumpkin spice mix.
Heat until the sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool before use.
Zen Hot Toddy
2 oz Three Spirit Nightcap
0.25 oz Maple syrup
5 oz Boiling water
Big lemon wheel studded with 8 cloves
1 star anise
Optional dash of whiskey for a low ABV drink
Method: To fill an 8oz cup. Stud a whole lemon with lots and lots of cloves before cutting into slices. To stud, pierce holes into the lemon zest with a fork then push cloves in. Warm your cup with hot water first. Once warm, empty out the water. Pour the Three Spirit Nightcap followed by the remaining ingredients. Stir briefly to combine and add a dash of whiskey for those that want.
Serve piping hot.
The Showstopper: Midnight Delight
1.5 oz Kin Euphorics Dream Light
1 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Nutella
1 tsp Ashwagandha powder
1 tsp Cardamom
1.5 oz Almond milk
Method: Combine all ingredients except the Ashwagandha powder and warm over medium heat. Whip and stir the combination after warming on the stove. Pour into a mug and dust with Ashwagandha powder.
‘Tis the Season Toddy
2 oz Ritual Whiskey Spirit Alternative
1 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz spiced-cranberry honey syrup
Whole star anise & cinnamon (for garnish)
Method: Combine whiskey, lemon juice and syrup in a heat-tempered glass. Top with about 3 oz hot water and stir gently. Add garnish.
1.7 oz Seedlip Spice 94
1.2 oz Fresh Pear Juice
.5 oz Ginger & Cinnamon Syrup
GLASS & GARNISH
Warmed heatproof mug
Garnish with crystallized Ginger cube
Method: Combine all ingredients & heat with steam wand or on the hob.
